With expansive views of the Spanish Peaks, Moonlight Basin, and Ulery Lake, the site presents endless design opportunities. Field Studio worked closely with the owner and the architect to develop a master plan for the property which includes a new residence, outdoor spaces, a network of trails, and future pavilion structure. Great care was taken to site the house to take advantage of the views while respecting the natural sloping topography and native vegetation. A sculpture garden anchors the south end of the residence creating an inviting entrance and linkage into an interior courtyard. Steel panels screen the motor court and create an entry threshold through an aspen grove. Mass plantings help define the exterior spaces which are designed to blend seamlessly into the native landscape.
